Believe In This Word And You'll Beat Procrastination To A Pulp

If you're struggling with procrastination today, the best thing I you can do right now is to be aware of your thinking and change your procrastination words to action words.

Let me give you an example:

You've been spending your day thinking up all the things that you should be doing.

  • Maybe you're a college student and you're thinking you should be writing that term paper that's due in a few weeks.
  • Perhaps you're an affiliate marketer and you think you should be getting started in forum marketing since it's what others are starting to do.
  • It's quite possible that you've heard from your HR Administrator that you should be investing in your 401(k) but you think you can do that anytime.
But the funny thing is- the thing that the people who have clobbered procrastination see that you can't seem to get over is that all of those shoulds that keep on coming up in their minds without a doubt need to be replaced by one magical word.

Is it WANT? Yeah right.
If you really wanted to do these things, you would have done them by now.

Is it COULD? Please! Give me some credit.
That won't get you anywhere- except for where you've been.

Nope, the most powerful word that you could possibly face when it comes to clobbering procrastination is MUST.

I MUST write this paper
I MUST get started in forum marketing
I MUST invest in my 401(K)

This problem can seriously come back and bite you in the butt so you MUST start using this word more often in your vocabulary. Our inside activity such as our thoughts and feelings create what we see in the world. These thoughts, if they're going to be effective for us, need to be carefully chosen down to the exact words you choose.

With that in mind, I advise you right now to head over to your mirror, look yourself straight in the eyes, put your hand over your heart and say...

"Whatever it is that I thought I should be doing is a procrastination thought. Right now, those things are important and are what I MUST be doing. I'm a procrastinator and I must change that."

After you've done that, start to take charge of these shoulds. Try to be aware of when you use should while you're thinking throughout the day and write what you think down, swapping every occurrence of should with must. Make this a new habit of yours if procrastination has become a problem for you.

What must you be doing right now?
